Ivan Sichkar


Associate Professor

Ivan Sichkar holds three professional designations: Chartered Financial Analyst®, Financial Risk Manager® designations and Certified Financial Planner™ certification. He earned a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Denver, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Idaho State University, and a Bachelor of Science. in International Economics and Business from Kiev National Economics University in Ukraine.

Sichkar has over 15 years of work experience as an investment analyst working for investment firms in the U.S. He is the former president and director of CFA Society Colorado, and has also coordinated the CFA Institute Research Challenge for the Colorado Region for four years. The CFA Research Challenge is a global competition for university students that tests their equity research, valuation and presentation skills. 

Sichkar is also the former director of Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) Denver Chapter. He organized Denver GARP chapter meetings, which included lectures at the Federal Reserve Bank and presentations by financial risk professionals. He is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
