Jude Nelson served as head coach and senior OD consultant with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in Fort Worth, Texas, for 17 years, recognized for innovative major culture-change initiatives, knowledge management and collaboration. Her primary client was the F-35 Lightning II leadership team during their 13 years of startup.
She is an accredited, professional coach by the International Coaching Federation, as well as an OD consultant providing leadership coaching to individuals, teams and organizations.
Previously, she was on the MBA faculty of the University of Dallas, Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business, for five years, teaching “Emotional Intelligence for Effective Leadership,” “Managing Complex Organizations,” and the “Capstone” courses.
A native of Pennsylvania, she earned a B.S. in journalism and M. Ed in counseling psychology from Temple University, and a Ph.D. in human and organization systems from Fielding Graduate University. She published in the Elsevier book, “Complex Collaboration” (2004); a chapter in the (2008) Jossey-Bass book, “The Handbook of High-Performance Virtual Teams: A Toolkit for Collaborating across Boundaries;” and “Inventing the Joint Strike Fighter: Applying Appreciative Inquiry to Collaborative Startups” in the OD Network Journal (2005). Additionally, she published “Cases and Exercises in OD & Change”(Sage, 2017) and “Leveraging Orientation and Learning Transfer to Launch Capstone Consulting Projects” (Management Teaching Review, 2021)
